Job & Work Readiness Career Program
Moving from high school to adulthood can be one of life's most significant, but also overwhelming experiences. It is a time for transition and growth for your next path. This extensive program has been created to help prep amazing students like you for the vast world of careers beyond graduation.
No matter what path you're looking to take, whether it be traditional university, community college, immediately entering the workforce, trade school, military, or even becoming an entrepreneur! Our job and work readiness program is one of our six components of the youth/mentoring programs. This program provides you with the right tools and guidance you'll need to make the best decisions about your future.
4-7 Month Workshops

​Employability Initiatives
​1. Assign an Employee Specialist to help students secure job placements.
2. Have a Field Job Coach conduct site visits to check on students and strengthen relationships with employers.
3. Provide a measurable outcome report on the program's success to the Project Coordinator.

Career Expo Time!
After going through this extensive 4- 6 month program, it's time to put all those skills to the test during the career Expo finale! Meet employers and showcase everything you've just learned; you're bound to make real connections that could greatly benefit you.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Colleges & Universities
Be introduced to a wide array of local colleges and learn what to expect from their programs. Be able to get all of our questions answered by faculty as well as current students.
Employers & Businesses
Local businesses and companies will be present for networking and to provide potential job opportunities. This includes on-the-spot applications, possible interviews, and the application of skills learned from the course.
Trade Schools
Find out about more hands on paths, learn what they're looking for the trade you're getting into.
Organizations
Non-profits and community based organizations will also be there for you to connect with and potentially join as well as make new connections.

Bryant Dozier holds a Master's in Education and has years of experience empowering young people.
He is the Founder and CEO of Project Next You.
