Say Hello To Zuleyma Valera Reyes | The Host of Building The Wealth
Zuleyma has been involved in issues affecting low-income, marginalized communities for over 10 years. For the last few years, Zuleyma has focused her efforts in income and wealth disparities which continuously affect Brown and Black communities due to historical legacies of discrimination and systemic racism, such as slavery, segregation, redlining, and unequal access to education and employment opportunities. These discriminatory practices have created a wealth gap that continues to persist across generations.

As a way to do her part in breaking wealth building barriers, Zuleyma has been offering financial literacy classes, one-on-one sessions, and free online resources to her family, friends, and community for the last two years. Zuleyma is committed to ensure all the resources she shares are free or low-cost to communities of color in an effort to break cycles of poverty, increase economic mobility, and promote opportunities for educational attainment, healthcare access, and overall well-being.

She is focus on first generation Latinas ages 21-30, because she believes everyone deserves the opportunity to build wealth and confidently navigate the complex landscape of retirement planning. With this in mind, the goal of this broadcast is to equip individuals with the knowledge, tools, and support necessary to make informed decisions and take proactive steps towards a fulfilling retirement in a fun, jargon-free manner with some Spanglish sprinkled throughout.
